Rabah Mehaddi got his PHD (2014) at Aix-Marseille University (France). His thesis was entitled « Contributions to turbulent fountains ». Then, he carried out postdoctoral research on the same topic at Polytech Marseille. He is now Assistant Professor at Lorraine University and at LEMTA Laboratory since 2015.
His main research activity is on fundamental fluid dynamics and its applications to Fire Safety Science, in particular fire and smoke dynamics. His recent contributions concern turbulent fountains, plumes, gravity currents, transport of particles in stratified environment, but also compartment fires in ventilated and under-ventilated conditions. Rabah Mehaddi is co-author of 30 peer-reviewed publications.
Rabah Mehaddi is also teaching in Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and mechanical engineering.
